Hi Chris No, It wasn't a typo. We calculated the speed based on how many RPMs it was turning, since we know the final drive ratio. My friend who was driving is a 29 year old mechanical engineer. He is one of the most interesting car people I have ever met. He has only ever owned one car himself, but has driven many over the last few years. Currently they are driving his wifes honda while he hotrods his 73 VW Super Beetle. It now has porsche brakes and wheels, and a 1600 CC engine with twin webber carburators. It's a nice machine. It's almost finished. I let him drive the Imperial in his wedding actualy. There are some interesting pictures of the bride and groom leaving and burning out in it after the dance, if anyone wants to see them :-) The car got a lot of attention from the wedding party. I am quite certain of the speed we calculated about 143.6 or something. I asked Colin about it today, and he said 143.6. It is not really a stock Imperial, I guess, but it is close to stock The thremoquad is a good carb, but it combined with lean burn, or Mopar CAS or one of their other emition systems of the 70s it can be a nightmare. Also if the air door on the seccondary barrels is not adjusted once in a while it gets slack, and causes horrid performance problems. A manual choke is also a good idea with thermoquads, although they do work fairly well with an automatic choke. -Hailey On Wed, 24 Nov 2004 17:09:55 -0800, Christopher Hoffman <imperial67@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > Was 143 a typo?
