RE: IML: 1956 (It only gets Better)

Dear All
Never mind "dead" cars , my usually reliable 63 decided to not select just as we were going on a long trip with friends !!!!!!!! and we were late , well to cut a long story short with fears of a disconnected cable under the car , I sprayed the inside of the selecy buttons wth a releasing agent (megapower) and guess what like Tim we were on our way and this is a car that gets used alot so maybe it is a good idea to lubricate with a VERY light oil/agent sometimes ?.

After getting the engine running on the 56 that hasn't run since 1978. The push buttons on the transmission selector wouldn't (Push).. Well I was cleaning the garage today after work and came across a can of WD40. Sprayed the push button housing real good, cleaned a little more in the garage. What the heck, jacked up the cars rear end since I have no brakes (YET). Started car, push D for drive, wheels are turning baby!!!!!! 1rst,2nd and D. Howww sweeeeet it isss!!!! Maybe get those brakes working this weekend to take it around the block.
