May be GM used a Chrysler column!  :)

Even to this date, OEM's use parts made by component suppliers.  Very likely,
the same supplier was subcontracted by both GM and Chrysler.  Another example
is the oil pressure sending units.  Ford and Chrysler used the same parts (at
least they look identical).
