Well, just reposted an ad in the club classifieds - having gotten about 50 bogus "inquiries" and a couple nice notes from club members, but no offers of purchase. C'mon, there has to be somebody out there who would like a solid and beautiful Crown they can drive from here to New York with only the addition of a few tanks of gas!!--
I have today in my hot little hand TWO bogus cashiers checks, totallying $17,500. I have researched and found that to deposit them is considered bank fraud on my part! Funny, I thought it was only fraud if you tried to SPEND the money....
In any case, all should know that these pieces of paper are both printed to be drawn on American banks - one a credit union in Montana, fer cryin out loud! Both were mailed from Great Britain. While this is mildly amusing, it's a bit unsatisfying to not be able to commit the odd act of retribution on these scumbags, just for the sheer heck of it. Aggravating buggers.........
