This sounds like an interesting venture to me as
well. But, I have to wonder, who chooses which cars are saved, and who has
actual ownership? Is any Imperial, no matter condition, considered?
Is this just locating distressed, neglected and/or
incomplete Imperials and trying to save them from the scrapper and into the
hands of enthusiasts, or is this a profit venture for an individual or group of
persons? Not that I'd have any problem with that, depending on the circumstances
surrounding the group.
I can see where if a bunch of collected Imperials
were put on a piece of property, they'd be subject to the whims and desires of
the owner of that property, as well as possibly the family of said person as
well as any local or statewide police or tax officials in that area.
I got no problem saving Imperials, but like
anything of value, the collection and maintaining of such a collection is no
simple matter. Concerns aside though, having a group that could "save" certain
Imperials before they fall into the wrong hands, could be a very good thing!
Having someone snag up some poor Imp before the demo folks or the local car
crusher gets them should be a concern for us all.
