IML: '59 2-dr HT for sale in Modesto, CA

I spoke with a gentleman today who is selling a '59 Crown 2-door hardtop
that he says is a solid #4 for $3900.  The car is in Modesto, and his name
is Ken.  Phone 209 996-6234.  Here's his story:

The car was driven daily until 1995 when the owner embarked on restoration,
which he did not complete before he passed away.  Been under a carport most
of the time since then.  There may have been an engine rebuild.  The
interior was redone in burgundy fabric, not reproduction.  The car has
partially been repainted from white to burgundy.  Straight body except for
"a couple of dents in driver's side door".  Some small pieces of exterior
trim are missing (removed for painting).  The keys are missing, as are two
wheel covers.  The dash pad has one crack at the autodim sensor.  The tires
will have to be replaced due to their age.

I do not know if the car has any desirable options because I do not know
Imperials from that era well enough to ask the right questions.  The seller
is more than willing to show the car to potential buyers.

Please do not contact me on or off list about this car, especially if you
are a Nigerian scam artist, as I am not the seller.  I received his
permission to notify the list members.
