From what I've seen, ANY lead additive you can buy on the open market is highly marginal in value to what used to be in even low-lead fuel. When the normal compression ratios were in the range of 10.00 to 1, leaded premium was in the 97-101 octane range and usually had about 4 grams/gallon of lead in it. Only way to find that any more might be in pure racing fuel (usually available in drums only and costing over $5.00/gallon) for OFFROAD use, if you can even find that any more considering that unleaded fuel of 100 Research Octane has been available for many years.
There are also some sodium-based "lead replacement" additives that are only for valve recession issues and not fuel octane enhancement.
