I finally made the first step and took my '59 Imperial to the mechanic to have the brake booster removed, which should be done tomorrow. Then I will go get it and drive it up to Karps where I will exchange it for a brand new rebuilt deluxe model. Hopefully by Wednesday I will have the car back and cruising the streets of Southern California once again! I just hope we will be rid of this unusually hot 100 degree weather we have been having lately. The car was not very happy with the heat when I drove it to the shop, and when I got there noticed it running very rough. I think with the heat, the duct tape was giving way and returning the massive vacuum leak.
