27.3 MPG

I'm right there with you, man.  While none of us buy Imperials for the mpg, I was pleased to see 29 mpg on the freeway if I keep my foot out of it, 26 at 70mph and 23 at 80mph.  This is the 3.3l in a '91 with 4-speed automatic OD.  That's the result of a computer that tries to run lean at everthing except WOT and restricts the air intake so you can't make it run lean when the throttle bodies are supplying max fuel.  My overall mileage is 22.8 with 80 percent freeway miles.

201ci is a small engine, and 150hp is not a lot in a 3,500 pound car.  Those are new style hp.  If I wanted hp to weight ratio like the old days, I'd need 230 new style.  I have a plan, so stay tuned...

As you may recall I put new plugs and wires along with an O2 sensor on my
92. I went to the Cardinal game on Sat and took the Imperial on its first
road trip since service. Round trip was 227 miles with 8.3 gallons used.

I never buy an Imperial for MPG, but D....
