The way I read the original post, this guy was being an ------- on purpose. He was opening his door into the Imperial's owner's car on purpose. In my opinion, to respond in kind is entirely justified. What goes around comes around. If he doesn't like the response, let him move his vehicle. He's the one who started the "sophomoric" actions. Why reward his behavior by moving your own vehicle? Let him figure out that there is a consequence to destructive behavior-- the consequence is, if you damage my car, your car gets damaged.
