Chrome experts speak up



Al can be chromed, your original pot metal can all so be restored. First the
chrome is stripped off, then it is polished. then copper plated. Any pit
marks are then filled with Lead , this is applied with a soldering iron. The
lead is polished back etc . The piece is then sent through the normal triple
process, copper , nickel then chrome. I have had this done in the past to
some of my other cars, & comes up quiet well. Be aware that not all chrome
shops will want to do this type of work though. It takes TIME.
