maximum wheel rim width for '55 Imperial?

Hi

I looked for a 7 or 8" wire wheel for my '55 and could not find an original
style wheel larger than 6". What kind of wheel is it? It appears that the
car could handle the extra 1 or 2" easily as long as the offset was out.
