Power Steering whine

Woops!  I put transmission fluis in my power steering unit and it works fine(1953 Imp).  I'll have to try 10w if I can find any.  For the time being, I'll leave the trans fluid in the p/s unit

i have a 53 imperial and the owners manual calls for 10w engine oil, unless the temferature drops below -10, then it uses 5w oil. i have transmission fluid in there now because i did not know about the 10w oil when i first got the car. it works fine, no whine. as soon as i can find 10w oil, i will replace the trans fluid. i do not know where 10w oil is available.  dennis
