buying a car long distance

I have bought 2 cars long distance on eBay and have not any problems. I
drove about 250 miles to meet the seller and look at one of them and had
several lengthy telephone conversations with the 2nd person. Both owners
sent me the titles after they received payment and I did in fact drive one
of them from NJ to VA and that was based mostly on info provided by the
owner. Have not picked up the 2nd car yet but know I'll have no problems
with it. In both cases Trust is the watchword.
