It is time...to buy this '83

Guys and dolls... an '83 would make a great daily driver...
I use my '81 as an occasional driver and am quite satisfied.
Being a CA car, it should be fairly rust free. I've never
seen this car nor do I have any stock in the outcome, just
want to see a fellow '81-'83 get a good home.

Jim Gathmann, front engine, rear drive, you could really
make this one go...

Subject: IML: It is time...

| I was outside this weekend, playing with my '83 (I call
him "Guido") I
| have owned Guido for about a year, and it breaks my heart
to see him
| these days. I haven't done anything to get him going
except a wash and
| wax every so often. I start the engine and drive it
forward and
| backwards a few feet, but that is about it. While I love
the looks and
| idea, I have to face facts. I will never restore this car
and get it
| back on the road. I am hoping someone out there would like
a chance to
| own Guido for themselves. I am not looking to make a
killing or sucker
| anyone. Guido has a few problems, but he is a solid,
beautiful fellow. I
| would like to get $1000 out of the deal, but I am very
flexible. I can
| be contacted at: wilkerbeast01@xxxxxxxxxxx or by phone:
209 874 3695. We
| are both in the Central Valley of CA. Guido has a short
list of ills,
| which follow: crease in the rear corner with a broken
right tail light
| lense, ragged interior (Creme coloured velour), headlight
doors in the
| open position, transmission sick and the right front tyre
goes flat
| after a week. On the plus side, he is complete for parts
and the engine
| runs quite well. He has the factory carb conversion too.
No rust, other
| than a surface scratch.
| If I cannot find him a home amongst his own kind, here in
the IML, I
| shall advertise in the local paper. Thank you all for your
help over the
| past year, and may the Imperial live forever!
