Hal, unless you are trying to build a show car, NOS makes no sense and could actually be a liability in terms of reliability. Face it, unless it's a not mechanical part, it's 40 years old. New parts are probably as good, if not better, and certainly cheaper. The RV2 compressor is readily available anywhere. I've won awards at local shows with my non original RV2 compressor and the judging I've done at local shows we never got down into that level of detail. If you took the car to a major MOPAR meet you might get a ding for a non-origional tag on the compressor. I would not worry about it a second if it were me. For instance, on the 300 I've been painting and documenting on the site, the door weatherstripping was really shot. I ordered some from JC Whitney and it came in yesterday. While not a perfect match, it will look and work fine and very few people would have ever known the difference had I not broadcast it to the world through this email. Good luck.
