This is a confusion that has bothered me also. My 68 has "rear air" according to the label of the switch on the dashboard, but what this actually consists of is an air recirculation fan which takes air from the package shelf area and blows it against the inside surface of the rear window, obviously as a defrosting provision. There is definitely no provision for either heating or refrigerating the air from this device. My 64 NY'r T&C had real "rear air", a refrigerated system including a rear evaporator unit, along with the fans etc. I'm wondering if any Imperial of the boxcar variety had genuine dual AC.
