The EGR valve (one only) is under the pax side of the HSA
bolted to the inlet
manifold with two nuts that require a 1/2" socket (or
13mm).
You will only be able to see the EGR valve after you have
removed the air cleaner
housing, it is below and inboard of the point that the
breather hose is connected
to the air cleaner housing.
You can plug the vac hose going to the EGR and see if it makes
any difference to
drivability once the engine is warm.
The EGR valve is removable without removing the HSA if you own
the wobble type
extensions for a 3/8" drive socket set a good aim and plenty
of time and luck.
