I've yet to really haul anything in the car except one passenger and a dog. I just grabbed the rear shocks off the Dynasty I pulled parts from because the rear shocks were new and cost $4 each at the pull a part yard. When I have some more time in the spring to go through the brakes, see if the air pump works, and then drive the car more, I'm going to either fix the 4 wheel air suspension or put sit shocks on the back. I don't think it will haul anything without sagging. I had a 91 Nyr new and did not like the standard shocks as with people in the back or stuff in trunk, it was low. My 92 Imperial doesnt have this prob with the leveling system. (No air struts on this one)When my shocks go bad I will do what I have to to replace. -----Original Message----- From: mailing-list-owner@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:mailing-list-owner@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Mark Swingle Sent: Tuesday, January 07, 2003 10:06 PM To: mailing-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: RE: IML: 90's Imp hi jackers One more thing--the front suspension changed in 91. If it's a 90 car you're working on, I'd look for parts from a 90 or earlier car. For a 91-93, then from those year cars. I don't know if the struts changed as part of the front suspension redesign, but some other things did. I used a 90 Dynasty from my 90 Imperial, currently I have standard rear shock. I talk to one of the local chrysler dealers and they say its alot more work than just putting on regular struts and coils, but then again sumone at my work says that he's changed over the chrysler air systems like that numerous times... i don't know what to beleive any more....which one is it???
