To the member asking about lined convertible tops -- here is the difference. A convertible has EXPOSED top members. A cabriolet has a FULLY LINED top. Thus a Karmann Ghia,from the 50's and 60's, is actually the latter. Most American convertibles from that same era were just that. This info is from a Special Interest Autos road test of a 53 Mercedes Benz cabriolet. Sorry for going off subject!!
