Happy New Year! As some of you might recall, I am selling my 1952 Imperial Crown limousine. One or two buyers came forth but the transactions fell through for reasons that had nothing to do with the car. Interestingly, I have recently found out more about the history of this car. The original owner was a very well-to-do gentleman who was a Director of a local Bank. He lived only a mile away from his Bank, and each day his chauffeur would drive him less than a mile each way. This explains the low limeage (the car only has 15,000 miles on it). The car was then acquired by someone who lived nearby, and the car was occasionally used for many years. This owner reports that the car always ran reliably. This owner turns out to be a neighbor of a close friend of mine who never made the connection. Small world!! The rest of the story appears on the Imperial web site at: http://www.imperialclub.com/yearbyyear/1952/JohnNapoliLimo/index.htm I'm about to list the car in Hemmings, but before I do wanted to notify you all one last time since I would rather sell it to another List member. The car is 100% complete but has weathered and as such needs restoration. It is available immediately and is located on Long Island in New York for a very nominal sum. If you are interested, please email me privately. Best, John
