Dick, Today, my son and I ran the car with the air cleaner lid off and are unable to see any leaks in the fuel line plumbing. We were unable to remove the tan wire from the socket so cut it and pput abullet connector in so we can do this when ever we want to. We also checked the fuel nozzles with the coil wire out and grounded and seems OK. We did notice that the plastic covering on the connectors to the control pump and the FPS are nearly melted off but still making contact. Apparantly had a small fire in there some time or other. Checked the FPS and got an ohms reading of 15.4 ohms. Did the control pump check with the test light and seems OK. The light came on mementarily when cranking and turning on the key. Still starting hard and then floods itself after running very rough for a few seconds I wish I had some extra EFI parts I could try but they are few and far between out here in the boonies. The air cleaner lid is tight, has a good seal top and bottom and all vacuum hoses are in place. Any other ideas?
