Hello all; Speaking of 1975 Imperials I have found one locally sitting in a driveway. Its a metallic brown LeBaron with white leather seats and rather well equiped. Other then the fact it has a 440 with the 727 torqueflite behind it I don't know much about these cars. Does it have one of the dreaded thermoquad carburettors? Does it have an air pump and E.G.R system? Is it worth eliminating either of these for the sake of fuel economy, more power, or reliability? Is it worth adding duel exhausts or a different intake for the same reasons? The reason that I ask this is that most of the E.G.R systems that I have seen no longer function and the air pump, much like any other excessory, must be robbing power from the engine needlessly. I can't see what purpose it would serve, if I owned this car, to continue wasting power and fuel on smog equiptment that no longer funtions. From what I have heard this stuff, much like the lean burn, never worked that well when it was new.
