Swivel seats are definitely worth it. Folks
love to see them at shows. Most think they're a good idea. Great
talking point to draw folks away from those blankety blank tiresome 57
Chevys. The frame is worth $$. I just sold a pwer seat with the
swivel seats on the frame for $400
BTW, all, and I mean all, swivels seat frames are
the same for 59,60 and 61 for Plymouth, Dodge DeSoto Chrysler and
Imperial. The upholstery is different, yes. Even if its a 4 door
with a fixed back, there is a piece of metal you take out and the seats go front
and back for your two door.
If you don't want the frame, I sure
do.
Sincerely, Henry Hopkins

Subject: IML: Opinion wanted on swivel
seats for 60
I have the
complete frame for the swivel front seats for a 60. Any opinions on
whether I should hold on to it and eventually put it in instead of the
bench seats that are in there now?
I am replacing my
old deck lid (dusk mauve) with a flight sweep. If anyone needs a
replacement deck lid they are more than welcome to have my old one. It
is in excellent shape with no rust since it originally came from New
Mexico.
On another topic
how much play should there be in the steering? Is there any adjustment
to make it a bit tighter. also since there has been quite a bit of talk
about it, how do you know if you need new motor mounts and how much of a
difference would this make in the ride if they are old?
Thanks,
David
