High Mileage Imperials

My 67 has 567,000 miles on it. My grandfather bought it new and put every mile on it except for the last 20 thousand or so that I have put on it in the last few years. Car has never been garaged as my grandfather never had a garage. Has some rust(repairable) leather is rotting and starting to tear. Engine was rebuilt once brakes done about once per year transmission is original. Window motors replaced a few times, but otherwise untouched and very nice driving. With all the miles it is still the best driving car I have ever driven. The car sat in my fathers back yard for four years before I got it with a bad trunk seal. If not for the bad seal, the car would most likely still be rust free and interior would not be rotted(moisture kills). It was in much better shape before parked, but my father had no interest in the car and figured it would become a parts car someday.

'm wondering how other Imperials have fared for
>high mileage.  Who else has Imperials with 100K, 200K
>or more miles?

I have a 62 Le Baron that was bought new and owned by a couple here in Redwood City, Ca. I purchased it from the youngest son, 64 Back in Feb. 98. They thought that the OD had turned twice, and I'm inclined to agree with them. If true the car has 234,370 miles. The engine is quiet, smooth, but a bit tired. Does not have the get up and go as the two other 62's
