Some of the common causes of overheating are water pump, fan belt, fan, thermostat, radiator, timing. You may want to cover these bases. Check for a leaking waterpump, a stuck thermostat, slipping belt, clogged fins on the radiator, etc. If you are sure it is the radiator, it might be worthwhile to have it corded by a radiator shop. If you do the removal and installation, it is not too expensive. If it has an electric fan, check to be sure the relays and thermo sensor is working or wire the fan on all of the time. Some cars are wired so that the electric radiator fan is automatically on when the A/C is on. If the car overheats only a little bit, try turning on the heater to help cool the engine. If your gas guage does not work, fill your tank based on miles driven. __________________________________________________________________ Your favorite stores, helpful shopping tools and great gift ideas.
