Busted Booster

Why not just pick up a used one? They should all be the same on mid 60's large power brake equipped Mopars.

Rob,

A few years back I got a rebuilt booster for my 64 at my local Auto Shack for about 70 bucks.  Check with the chains, one of them might be able to special order it for you (I'll eat my hat if you find it shelved anywhere).  It's held up quite well.

Alternately, you might want to check the archives for an article I wrote about my Master Cylinder modification and possible booster substitutions for the 64.  I won't repeat it here cause I don't feel like starting any wars today :)

Hello,

I need help, PLEASE.

Was replacing the master cylinder in my 64 Crown and
broke the mounting studs.   Looks like I am going to
have to send it to a rebuilder to get it fixed as the
FSM indicates that the unit should not be opened
unless by the manufacturer/rebuilder.

Can anyone recommend a good, reasonable, and quick
shop?  Or a dealer which stocks them at a reasonable
price? I just got a quote of $350 from my local auto
parts dealer and that sounds high based on what I have
read.  Any advice would be greatly appreci ated.

Rob
