Newly acquired 68 coupe, was: 82 Imp EFI won't start/run

Paul;
 Is there any indication as to why the engine needed a rebuild at only 50K?
Also if it was its first rebuild, and that the cylinders needed to be bored
.060' over, there must have been a catastrophic failure of some kind to
warrant it.
 As to your EFI car I have read on the list that one of the common reasons
that one of these cars will not start, or run, is because of a bad gasket
around the lid of the air cleaner. Though there are far more knowledgeable
people who could explain it to you my understanding is that it has something
to do with the circuitry of the car not liking unmonitored air to enter the
intake. If any air bypasses the sensors into the intake, through leaks or
whatever, the car will shut down shortly after you start it.
