Several years ago at the Mopar Nationals,I got to talking to one of the venders who restored pot metal pieces,when I asked him how he repaired the pits,he said that was the time consuming part, he said that each pit has to be carefully drilled out and filled with silver solder, the part polished, buffed and then chromed, if the pit-filling part was done at home, I would think the actual chroming step could be sent out and done relatively inexpensively...
