BRAKE FAILURE was: Please back Welcome Tony Vickers -

Copper? Copper in a brake line?!? No, No, NOOOO! Never use copper in
brake lines. It will fatigue from the pressure cycles and fail in service,
in a catastrophic way! Use only approved steel tubing, and only with
"double flares" for brake tubing. It appears this was not a factor in your
recent excitement, but just to keep everyone aware, one must NEVER use
copper in brake lines!

If a professional shop put copper lines on your car, he should be reported
to whatever the correct authority is in your area.

I am still considering what course of action to take.
