Cheap electronic ignition

Is there any reason I couldn't pull the complete electronic ignition out of
a 440 equipped mid 70s parts car to use in my '59?

It looks like I could get a rebuilt distributor from the electronic age for
around $60 and pull the rest of the stuff out of the yard for $15.  This
seems like it would be a lot cheaper than buying the mopar performance
stuff.

Will it work?
