Valve guide seals should cause smoking for only a few seconds, not minutes. The smoke should be blue, and should not dissipate. It should just spread around till the wind blows it off. If the smoke is white and it dissipates/disappears quickly after it has been emitted, it may be humidity. This exhaust vapor is sensitive to the engine and exhaust temperature, and it takes a while after startup to see any change. Either way, nothing to worry about for the short term.
