Factory stereo speakers in doors of a '67?

The multiplex Stereo AM-FM radio is mentioned as available "for the first
time" as an accessory for 1967 in the "Standard Catalog of American Cars -
1946 - 1975", published by Krause Publications (the "Old Cars Weekly"
folks).

While this is a secondary source, they are quite accurate, usually.
Actually, I'd say Chris Hoffman is probably even more reliable as a source!
I wasn't aware this was available in 1967 until Chris pointed it out
yesterday.

The price is given for 1968, but not for 1967. In 1968, the price was
$294.85; the 8 track player was an additional $136.60, for a grand total of
$431.45, if I did that right. On a car which listed for $5653, that's a lot
of money for 'tunes!
