Believe it or not I have a book on tin toy cars given
to me by a friend who thought I would like the 1962
LeBaron on the cover.
In the book, the 62 LeBaron is mentioned as quite
literally the holy grail of tin toy collecting. It is
so rare, so finely made, and so sought after that even
a decade ago (when the book was published) it was
commanding many thousands of dollars.

At our local orphan auto picnic in suburban Chicago I met the man who owned
this toy 1962 Imperial. He sold it to a Japanese collector, for
approximately 12,000 a number of years ago. He gave me a photo of this car,
plus another one that he sold (he is a toy dealer). He used the money from
the sale to build an in ground pool.
