brake question

to all:
i am in the proscess of replacing all the brake components on my
66crown. so far, 3 of 4 wheel cylanders have been replaced and the 4th is in
the wings along with the master.
i am also replacing all the flex hoses. here is the problem. I can not
break lose the fitting between the front brake lines and the old flex hose. i
have removed the horse collar and the line is loose from the wheel cylinder
(both front lines were rotted through and fell apart when i played with
them).
it is (or was ) a 3/8 fitting and i have been holding that with an
open end and using the wrench on the 5/8 brass fitting of the brake hose. i
say was. because they are now rapidly beginning to round out. liquid wrench
has not helped and i am afraid if i keep cranking on these,,that i will end
up breaking the fitting or the line itself. is there a secret to this or is
my 66 just being unfriendly?
