Whoops how can you tell I'm a rookie ? It seems I was mistaken my 2 Imperials (Crown 4 drs.) are 1962 and not 1961. Boy do I feel dumb! The white one has more rust than I thought but the running gear is good and it's a compleate car and will make a great parts car. I'm wondering how difficult it would be to switch the air conditioning and cruise control from my white Crown to my black Crown .as these options are missing on it. THANKS FOR ANY INFORMATION. I just bought two 1961 Crowns today April 10 2002. A workmate of mine told me his neighber was sick(big C.) and had two 1961 Imperials he wanted to sell.I was'nt sure what the cars looked like so I got on the internet and found this site. WOW when I saw what the cars looked like I was impressed. I always liked big cars with fins. What more could you ask for? The black car is compleat and almost ready for paint as the previous owner was restoring it before he got sick. The interior is in great condition except it needs carpet? The bumpers need to be rechromed The white one has minor surface rust and needs lens for the tail lites, hubcaps and the interior redone. I also have a 1930 Hudson Essex streetrod that I had since 1978.When I get the cars home I will take pictures keep you up to date on the progress.
