That would be neat to have for the emergency kit...but speaking of oil,
When I changed oil for the first time when we got our Imp, I decided to
try Slick50, so the local Schucks just happened to have a promo on with 4
quarts of, I believe it was Quaker State, and a quart of Slick50. My
father-in-law has used Q.S. in this car probably since day 1, so I
figgered this would be goodness. The car used 3 quarts between that oil
change and the next one. I had also noticed a tinge of blue in the
exhaust during that time. I changed again at the proper interval and used
just Q.S. No oil consumption since. No blue smoke either.I remember as a
kid hearing a neighbor talking about his almost new 67 f*rd doing that
with a particular brand of popular oil(don't remember which), but not
with others.
