Organic Pad?

  It practically IS a piece of wood. Someone had put super-metallics on the 
back. *GASP*  My impossible-to-get rear rotors will last alot longer with 
the "pieces of wood". Heck,with those super-metallics on there...the 
metallic pads might just as well have been installed with the BACK of the 
pad touching the rotor.

  I've got metallics on the front tho. That is where most of the stopping is 
anyway.....and the front rotors will probably be avail forever.

A piece of wood??? Sorry, couldn't resist that!! Seriously, I'd guess
non-asbesteos(already banned out of circulation in most places) and
non-metallic(do they still make Velvet Touch lining?).
