Carter is making the AFB carburetors again (so is Edelbrock but I'm not
sure what differences there may be between the 2 brands) and rebuild
kits are available from Performance Automotive Warehouse. I don't have
their address or phone # but they have big 2 page ads in all the generic
hot rod magazines. It would be a less expensive option if you have the
time and patience. All I saw were various AFBs. No AVS carbs. in their
catalog.
