Re:web Page Updates, donations, etc.

Hi Mark,
Thanks for the kudos and I am glad you enjoy the
updates. I totally agree that the members cars and
stories are some of the most interesting parts of the
site (Although when my imp breaks, the tech info is
pretty important too!) ;-)
Anyway, Mike and Chris Trentin especially and others
have done an AMAZING amount of work. If anyone wants
to show their thanks, please consider sending a
donation to Manuel Alvarez to: PO BOX 222 Montclair,
CA 91763 who provides the web server and does ALL work
to keep the server online. Others do the html
programming work which is VERY time consuming too, but
Manny is the one putting up the cash each month to
keep the server turned on and to keep the internet
connection working.

While I have the pulpit.....
Please consider sharing your (cars) story with us.
Just write up a bit of info about it and send a
picture either digital or snail mail one of us year by
year librarians a photo and we will scan it.
FYI I was just looking at the 1950 year by year page
which Mike and Christine have updated so it looks
great but there is NOBODY HOME!!! Not a single member
car on the page and very little else!
Certainly someone has a 50 Imp or brochure they could
send a picture or two of!

One last point...
You can find out who is helping maintain the year of
Imperial you own by looking at the volunteers page at;
http://www.imperialclub.com/OIC-Specific/TeamOfVolunteers/index.htm
There are SEVERAL years which are currently unloved
and have no-one keeping them up like 1958 which we
updated last week! If you own for instance a year of
imperial that does not have a web librarian (Like
1975, ANY YEAR before 1955, etc. etc.) and you know
how to make web pages and have access to a web
development software package like Macromedia
Dreamweaver, please consider volunteering to help us!
There is SO MUCH great Imperial info out there, we
can always use some more help!
Again thanks for the kind words and thanks to all the
folks updating the site and ESPECIALLY Mike and
Christine for their HUNDREDS of hours of work on the
site!
