57 Convertible

Philippe, Hello & Good morning.
Just read your story without end with great interest & admiration. Well done & congratulations on a fine restoration. I have been given by the owner, who is to remain nameless due to his standing in Bahrain,  the task to find body parts for a 1957 Imperial that in theory don't exist but is very much alive and well here in Bahrain. The car is a 57 Imperial 4 door convertible made by Ghia Car of Torina in Italy, body #C5710904. At that time there was an article written on the car which the owner has a copy of & which I have yet to see, It was made for the Amair of Kuwait in 1957 and has been in Bahrain for a number of years. How it came to be in Bahrain I'm not sure & due to the circumstances surrounding the car any up to date photo's of it will be rare and will only taken if absolute necessary to obtain parts or have parts made. I do hope to get at least 1 side view of the car to prove the existence of the car to few people in the Imperial club. The parts I'm in most need for are body rubbers & side window weather strips & pot metal moldings, the door sills have rusted and will need to be replaced, these don't pose a problem as they can be made. The rubber & weather strip kits pose the greatest problem as these item have harden and are braking up. I would greatly appreciate any help you can give me in finding these kits.
Many thanks.
Wayne Lemin.
