How difficult are these mounts to replace on a 60 Imperial? Any special equipment/tools involved here?My original mounts are detoriated from heat and UV (Californian car) and won't last that long anymore, lucky enough I was able
to find me a NOS set on Ebay at are very reasonable price last year.So maybe this summer I will be challenged to replace my worn out engine mounts for those NOS ones I have.

I don't own a '66, but 1960 through 1965 cars that I have all use the same engine mounts, while the transmission mount changed in 1962. Imperial services sells two different sets of mounts for these cars. One set is exactly like the original, while the other set (which I believe is cheaper) is a re-design. I purchased the original style and I think you are correct that they are called Floating Power.The re-designed replacements are clearly distinguished in their sales descriptions. Read them carefully. I believe that they incorporate some changes that make them less likely to break. The reason I didn't buy them was that any mount with a direct metal connection between the frame and the engine will increase noise and vibration, even if surrounded by rubber. The original style suspend the engine in rubber vulcanized to the metal portions of the mount. Stresses of heat, age, and oil work against this design causing the engine to fall. This can happen on one or both sides of the car, either way, it causes problems with engine alignment, vibration, fan to fan shroud clearance on a/c cars, etc. I think the redesign would keep this from happening, but at the expense of some smoothness.I'm sorry that I can't help with a '66, but I will say that I went through this problem on my '65 more than once over a number of years before the Imperial Services parts were available. I am probably mistaken, but I think the '66 engine is mounted to the frame differently that the previous.
