Re: IML: 1965 electricals

I don't know if you've tried a different battery or not. If not, that's where I would start. Also, the bulkhead connector at the firewall is a notorious place for electrical problems. I knew someone that had a really nice 64 that had a problem with the connector. Since everything is completely dead, I think those are the most likely possibilities.

Subject: IML: 1965 electricals

Dear all,

Y'all don't know how much I've appreciated all the information I've received regarding this issue.  I've kept the e-mails because I can't work on the Imperial until this weekend and contacted my brother, whom I've not spoken to in over 11 years (and that was only because my father died), who does this for a living.  He's more Packard (gave two to his 2nd ex-wife in the divorce), GM (first wife got one Olds) kind of guy.  The last Imperial he worked on was a 1962, but, being that they're both 413's and he's got a 413 in an AMX, he wants to take this information y'all have provided, plus his skills, and help guide me through the process.  All continuing advice is very much appreciated and, if I don't have this done by this weekend, I'll continue to ask.  He could be a complete idiot as far as this car is concerned, being that it's optioned out, so I reserve judgment until the electrical is working.

Thanks all,

Timothy
