The 57-62 or 63 cars are related in many ways, and so are other batches of cars or technologies. Therefore what was good, factual information in 1954 was also good for 53 and 55 at the least. They'd introduce stuff early the year before to get ahdead of the new stuff or publish things later in response to perceived needs in training, so pay more attention to 5-year eras than each year in MTSC is my suggestion, since the principals on an alternator don't change all that much for the 60's, but saw the solid state voltage regulator intro'd later for example.
