HI Rob....hopefully you have found a source for the starter for your '60 Imperial....but if not, I would think that your friend on the East Coast (NY area) could just as easily check for its availability through the NAPA stores and it certainly would be lots cheaper shipping from the East Coast  than from out here in CAlifonria..!!...I read your comments about the website I sent you and that the photo looks different from your own starter. If the source was a pplace I could go to and actually LOOK at the starter I could possibly comapre it to some photo's you could send me and that way be sure it at least LOOKS LIKE your own starter.....however, trying to send something as heavy as a starter thru the mail to myself, checking it against any photo's you could send me, and then maybe !!!???? having to send it back to the company as 'wrong model' wouold kind of expensive.....It may be easier (if not any cheaper) to see if Kenyon has one up at Doc Bullock's yard and then can get it rebuilt for you or possibly send it off for a rebuild to someplace he knows of!....if your friend in NY has a good place that will rebuild a starter, maybe Kenyon can ship it to your friend and the rebuild can be done on the East coast???....sorry I can't be of more help....I know how helpless it feels to not be able to get something done and be running in circles!!!....I do wish you the best of luck.....there are NO '60 Imperials anywhere near me that I know of but I will keep my ears & eye's open and let you know if I come across one!!!!

Hi Robert!...well, none of the places I checked with have your starter! I 
also had the NAPA store near me (that handles LOTS of parts for 
Collector/Vintage cars) check all their sources but the ONLY thing they can 
offer is a rebuilding service that wouold cost about $180.00 US...of course, 
there is still the shipping cost as well. For that reason, if there is a IML 
member that is on the EAST Coast I would think that it would be lots less in 
shipping costs if you had to have YOUR starter rebuilt. I even asked about a 
'rebuild' kit for that starter in case you had some place nearby that could 
do the 'rebuild' if they had the right parts....but, no luck there 
either!...as heavy as those starter's are, I would think that shipping it 
all the way here to California for 'rebuilding' would be quite expensive 
(since it would also have to get shipped BACK to you!)...I will keep on 
looking but if you can find a source for getting a starter from another IML 
member, by all means follow-up on it and just let me know.....!
