Hi Tyler & Welcome-You don't mention if it smokes or not but my guess from my experience with my 60, years ago, is valve seals. This is especially true if when driving the care and you lift your foot off the gas pedal and you then see smoke out the back or smoke on starting the car after sitting overnight. I'd start with a compression check to get an idea of the health of the engine. If I remember right these are little rubber caps that fit over the valve stems and keep the oil out of the upper cylinders. They aren't too difficult to replace if you have access to a air compressor. Just get an air fitting that you can screw into the spark plug holes & hook it to the compressor. With the compressed air holding the valves closed and in place you can remove the rockers, keepers and springs and replace the seals. You don't mention the miles on the odometer so maybe a valve job is in order, but I'd look at the seals first which you can do by taking off the valve covers and shinning a bright light through the springs. If the little rubber caps look damaged or gone, you have probably found your problem.
Good luck with a beautifully styled car. Jim L. in OR----- Original Message ----- From: "Steve B." <Imperial59@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>
