Kenyon, The starter will bolt up since its bolt pattern remained the same as the earlier starters, but the location of it on the bell housing different, as is the bolt pattern of the bell housing to the motor. Adapters can be used, or the bell cut off and a "superbell" designed for racing can be used to do the conversion. The '70 Dart in the picture is an A-body and probably running a small block. Yes, stick with your 727 and Gear Vendors OD plan. It will be less complicated in the long run.
