Imperialists,
There has been a recent spat of emails concerning
peoples taste for their own cars for which I will chime in now FWIW:
It's yours so do what makes you happy.
However, it would be disrespectful to NOT consider the original
presentation and integrity, if only for future restoration by others, if not
you. One thing is certain: if I somehow came into a rarity, a rare
of the rare production-wise, I would certainly entertain MUCH trepidation prior
to any refurbishment away from original, for it is the 'package'
as built by the manufacturer which makes it special and to
alter/customize such a gift would be sacrosanct to the builders intentions
(as if I/you should care), regardless of personal tastes, not only
that, but that which made the car special would
be changed to look like nothing more than the beautiful Imperial they
all are.
