Thanks for the welcome, this seems like quite the
active group..I belong to A Vista Cruiser group and a Nash Metropolitain group
and this seems like the most acive one...I don't always have a chance to read
every post as they come in but try to catch up on the chatter once a week or so,
so sometimes my replies are a little tardy!...I was wondering if we are allowed
to attach photos to our posts as I would like to attach a picture of the trunk
of my 1975 Imperial which has a "spare tire bump" on it which I was told is some
kind of rare dealer option, but I have not found any record of it on the
internet and would like to ask the group if anyone has ever seen one or heard of
one with this option..it looks like a fiberglass addition to the trunk was added
long ago and it has Imperial lettering on it...

Self-Introduction: I just bought my second Imperial. a 1975 2 door..My first
one that I owned when I was 25 (17 years ago) was a 1975 crown coupe, white
with green velour interior that was rusty and the motor was tired but I liked
it anyway..this one is in much better shape and is white with a white leather
interior, a factory sunroof, four wheel disk brakes and it has a "spare wheel
bump" on the trunk which I don't think is a factory item but probably an
aftermarket item at the time..but it looks pretty neat anyway! It also has two
large chrome "s"'s on the sides of the roof behind the rear quarter windows,
kind of like Hearses do or Caddy Limo's....I have owned many full sized
Chryslers, my first ever car being a 1969 Fury that was a hand-me-down from my
grandfather and since then I've owned five 1965-66 Chrysler 300's and New
Yorkers...So the Imperial is just another in my family of Chryslers...I
restore classic cars and build hotrods for a living and own my own little shop
doing > iver is a 1969 Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser wagon that I dropped a
6.2L diesel into with a 700R4 trans and get 35MPG !...very cool cruiser!...I
also own a Toyota Celica with a 302 V8, two 1950 Plymouths and 4 Nash
metropolitans and a 1959 NSU Prinz...I like very BIG cars and very SMALL cars
as you can see!...Basically, I'm just looking to find out a little more about
my Imperial from other owners in this group and maybe meeting up with some of
them if there are any get togethers during the summer... > My Imperials
vinyl roof is finished and there is some rust along it's edges so I plan to
remove and redo the roof this winter and paint the car black with tinted
windows, lowered suspension with some nice modern mag wheels and a dual
Flowmaster exhaust..I then plan to detail out my new Imperial's 440 engine.
Make a nice mild custom out of it keeping the exterior look to it unchanged,
but with a mean modern stance!...I feel that these cars along with the Caddies
of the same era are the next big custom desireable cars, so ho;d on to your
Imperials as people are going to be looking more for comfort than for raw
muscle car speed!... > Andrew! aka:
