I have a 62 Imperial and a 2002 Dodge Ram...Believe you me!, I'd much rather have to change a taillight bulb or headlight on the 62 than to tackle the same task on the 2002 Mopar product. You just about have to remove the entire grill & fender or rear quarter panel to change a bulb on these new contraptions!!!!
I'd love my old cars, 'cause I can fix em! Bob 62 Convertible, 62 Crown 4-dr Hardtop

Amazing! All this just to change a bulb. Well, I guess there really has been progress over the last 40 years!Vince in Boston ----- Original Message ----- From: Isenhour To: mailing-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Tuesday, October 17, 2006 1:02 PM Subject: RE: IML: '62 Imperial Taillight BulbsSince I just did them on my '62 LeBaron a few weeks ago it's not that bad to tackle it.Just remove the big Phillips head screw at the back of the chrome part. That will loosen upthe red plastic part and it will come straight out with the wire. Then remove the 3 small Phillips head screws from the back of the red plastic part and that will get you into the bulb socket for replacement. As with any vintage plastic parts don't tighten it too tight or it will bust it!-----Original Message-----From: mailing-list-owner@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:mailing-list-owner@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of M TurnerSent: Monday, October 16, 2006 6:23 PM To: Online Imperial Club Subject: IML: '62 Imperial Taillight BulbsOK, call me a fool, stupid or crazy. But . . . I have yet to figure out how to replace the bulbs in my '62 Imperial. Surely you do not have to disassemble the entire tail light assembly ... I hope!Vince in Boston
